A-Rest Solution is a plant growth regulator used for height control in container-grown ornamentals, foliage plants, and bedding plants. The active ingredient is amcidymol (0.0264%). It is designed to reduce internode elongation, resulting in more desirable, compact plant growth. It can be applied as a spray or as a drench. When used as a spray, it is absorbed through foliage; when used as a drench, it is absorbed by the roots. Application rates vary based on the desired concentration (ppm) and the specific plant needs, as detailed in the dilution tables. Users should be aware that temperature can affect the amount of product needed, as stem elongation increases with higher temperatures. Handling requires specific PPE, including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and closed-toe shoes.
