AAtrex Nine-O is a restricted-use herbicide containing 88.2% Atrazine. It is designed for season-long weed control in corn and certain other crops, including sugarcane and sorghum. The product is formulated as a water-dispersible granule. It controls broadleaf and grass weeds. Because Atrazine can leach into groundwater, this product is subject to strict environmental precautions regarding setbacks from water bodies and containment requirements. When handling, technicians must use specific personal protective equipment (PPE), including chemical-resistant footwear, long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and waterproof gloves made of specific materials like nitrile, butyl rubber, or Viton depending on the application method. For spray equipment users, a NIOSH-approved respirator may be required. Users must also follow specific instructions for preventing drift and protecting non-target organisms like pollinators.
