Proclaim Insecticide is a restricted-use pesticide containing 5% Emamectin benzoate. It is designed for the control or suppression of certain lepidopteran larvae (worm caterpillars), including various species of moths and caterpillars. This product is used on a wide variety of crops, including artichokes, brassica head and stem vegetables, brassica leafy greens, cucurbits, celery, cherry, fennel, fruiting vegetables, herbs, kohlrabi, leaf vegetable vegetables, leafy greens, pome fruits, and tree nuts. It is effective against larvae at small sizes (1/4 inch in length). Handling requires specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including long-sleeved shirts, long pants, chemical-resistant gloves (polyvinyl chloride, nitrile, or butyl rubber), and shoes plus socks. Depending on the application method (ground, airblast, or aerial), additional PPE such as coveralls or respirators may be required. This product is highly toxic to fish, mammals, birds, and aquatic invertebrates; avoid drift to water or areas with surface water. It is also highly toxic to bees; do not apply to blooming crops or weeds being foraged by bees.
