BONIDE Mosquito Beater® WSP is a water-soluble pouch containing Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis (Bti) at a concentration of 5.7%. It is designed to control mosquito larvae in standing (contained) water. The product works by targeting mosquito larvae before they develop into biting adults. It is highly selective, meaning it will not harm fish or other beneficial aquatic organisms. To use, the water-soluble pouches are placed directly onto the surface of the water to be treated, where they float and dissolve, releasing granules that provide uniform coverage. This product is suitable for various water conditions, including clear water, polluted water, or water with algae. It can be used in containers, bird baths, tree holes, flower pots, and other small areas. Users should note that it is not for use in treated, finished drinking water reservoirs or drinking water receptacles intended for human consumption. Always follow specific application rates based on the surface area and infestation level to ensure effectiveness.
